China Smartphone Maker OnePlus Stores in India

China's smartphone maker, Oneplus, entered the Indian market three years ago and now it has become the largest premium Android smartphone brand in the country. Now the company is planning to expand its offline operations in 10 cities by the end of this year.

The Shenzhen headquarter started its operations in India in December of 2014, and the company mainly used to sell only online. According to the report 'Quarterly Mobile Phone Tracker' of International Data Corporation (IDC), the company's share in the premium smartphone market is 47.3% and the company has sold a total of 2,87,000 devices.

OnePlus will continue to sell online through its online partner Amazon India and its own portal. Vanplus India General Manager Vikas Agarwal said, "We will continue to focus on these two portals, because this is our main sales channel. But beyond this, we will also start offline operations in the top 10 cities and open their own stores. "

Agarwal further said, 'We will not work through traditional offline channels. We will open our own stores, this will also help us increase awareness of our products in these cities. "

The handset maker had opened its first 'Experience Store' in Bangalore in Bangalore last year and the company plans to extend it to Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and other major cities by the end of 2018.
